This Is It for Halloween

In case you’re wondering, this masterpiece of photoshopping is the actual Sony poster for This Is It. You’ll note that Columbia’s marketing people are doing their part to make small children cry by depicting Michael Jackson as some sort of carnival version combination of Freddie Kruger and Jason with beats shooting out of his head and a body filled with miniature copies of himself. I’m sure they were going for something exciting but using Christine’s headlights duplicated a few times over, to make Michael Jackson look like some sort of monster with octopus eyes, is not helping. Looking at this poster, it’s the sort of thing that will keep small children up at night, afraid that an undead Michael Jackson will be coming to crawl into their beds and get them. Which if he was alive would not be a completely unrealistic danger. I’m not even going to point out that parts of Jackson appear to be groping himself or that a six year old with a copy of Photoshop Elements could have done a better job creating a Michael Jackson concert tribute poster. Or forget the Elements, this is the sort of thing hippies made using some leftover glue and a pair of scissors.
