Reasons to Look Forward to Mass Effect 2

Bioware is really rolling out the feature set for Mass Effect 2. Among the promised special superpowers is one never before featured in a Bioware game, jumping. No, just kidding. You will be able to make all sorts of sparkly things happen causing magic, sorry force, sorry biotic damage to your enemies. You just won’t be able to jump anywhere. Not even over railings that are shin high. That’s because it’s a Reaper conspiracy. But the good news is that Mass Effect 2 has graphics that are slightly better than Mass Effect and will probably feature the usual amount of cursing and blue alien cutscenes and strip clubs that are sure to get FOX news all worked up about it. Also it will probably have DRM that will make your computer explode if you breathe on it the wrong way. But the really good news is that with Bioware part of the EA family and badly overstretched, we can look forward to an even weaker version of KOTOR than the original Mass Effect. Mass Effect had only one location in space there was any point in actually returning to. Mass Effect 2 will have no planets at all, just rocky dungeons slash planets you can ride your MAKO toward. Can’t wait.
